About the author

Hello!

I'm Dr. Viktor Kotarski, an infectious diseases specialist and intensivist from Zagreb, Croatia. I graduated from The University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 2010 and finished my residency in infectious diseases in 2018 at the University Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Zagreb. I spent my early years working in general wards and the emergency department, but since 2018 I've worked mainly in the ICU that specializes in treating patients with the most severe community-acquired and hospital-acquired infections, including CNS infections. All of this allowed me to gather extensive experience in dealing with infectious diseases of all levels of severity, from mild and self-limited infections all the way to life-threatening infections caused by multidrug-resistant pathogens. I've participated in numerous conferences, seminars, and workshops as a lecturer or moderator. During the pandemic of COVID-19, having seen the need for better education in the domain of infectious diseases and antibiotics, I started to produce educational videos and online courses for medical professionals and students to help them learn the crucial lessons I've learned over the years, only much easier, and in a shorter amount of time! I'm confident my lectures will help you a lot in practice and I hope I'll make your lives at least a little bit easier.
